'It means the absolute world' - top apprentice Warren Fentiman records first Glorious Goodwood winner

Warren Fentiman recorded one of the biggest wins of his short career when partnering the Ruth Carr-trained Brazen Bolt to victory in the £75,000 Coral Golden Rewards Shaker Handicap.
It was a 34th success this year as the teenager closes in on passing his father Duran's best annual total of 37 winners, recorded in 2011.
The younger Fentiman admitted it was a success that may well have brought his father to tears as he held on by a nose to claim victory following a photo-finish.
On his first Glorious Goodwood winner the 17-year-old said: "It means the absolute world, especially on this horse, he's a really nice horse.
"I won on him last time at York, came here today and I thought we had a really nice chance. When the rain started coming I got a little bit worried but he showed what he can do and he's won lovely. I've loads of faith in him. I'm very happy and so proud of the horse."

On his father, he added: "I wouldn't be surprised if he's in tears, especially given it's Glorious Goodwood."
Fentiman also won the 3YO Dash at Epsom aboard Stormy Impact for boss Richard Fahey and, on the apprentice title race, he added: "I just want to ride as many winners as I can before the season ends.
"Everyone is speaking about being champion apprentice and I'd love to go for it, but I don't want to get myself to that situation where I'm trying too hard to get it and if I don't get it I'll get a bit heartbroken so I'm just trying to get as many winners as I can.
"It's my dream to be champion apprentice and become a professional jockey but I'm trying not to get my hopes up and be heartbroken if I don't get it."
Fentiman has ridden 14 winners during the championship, which runs from 2,000 Guineas day at Newmarket in May to British Champions Day at Ascot in October. Jack Doughty currently leads with 23 winners.
New partnership
Billy Loughnane made his first ride for John and Thady Gosden a winning one as he guided the well-supported Westridge to a runaway three and a quarter-length victory in the opening £100,000 Coral Chesterfield Cup Handicap.
The Gosden yard is currently without a stable jockey having parted with Kieran Shoemark back in May, and Loughnane is one of the weighing room's brightest young stars having been crowned champion apprentice in 2023.

On the new link-up, Loughnane said: "It's a privilege to be riding for such good connections and all thanks to my agent Tony Hind for getting me the ride.
"I spoke to Rab Havlin before the race and he said he's got his own way of doing things, his head carriage, but it felt like he tried real hard today. I think he's just a little bit timid, he's got his own way of doing things, he enjoys his own space."
Speaking to ITV Racing, he added: "Speaking to Mr Gosden beforehand he was keen for me to try and get a little bit of room up the straight, thankfully the race went smoothly and he accelerated nicely."
Murphy double
A late day one double, courtesy of the Andrew Balding-trained Stellar Sunrise in the 6f maiden and the Saeed bin Suroor-trained Dubai Treasure in the closing 6f fillies' handicap meant Oisin Murphy finished the opening day as the meeting's leading rider.
There is an eight-way tie for the leading trainer and owner competitions after an egalitarian opening day of the five-day festival.
