'I’m looking forward to next year' - Marco Botti brings up 50th winner of year

Monday: Kempton
Marco Botti is already keenly anticipating next season after Cavern Club provided him with him with his 50th winner of the year in the 1m3f nursery handicap.
Victory for the two-year-old son of Ribchester equalled Botti's 2021 tally of winners and plans are under way to ensure 2023 is just as successful.
He said: "I’m not complaining because it’s been a decent season and we’ve earned more prize-money than the previous year. I’m already looking forward to next year because we have some younger horses and some exciting names."
Cavern Club’s success was his first win in four career starts and Botti believes he has the potential for a bright future.
He added: "He hasn’t done much wrong and he’s placed on each of his three starts before today. You can see he’ll get better, but we may give him a bit of a break now because in the spring he could be really fun in races over a mile and a half."
Patient Buick
Champion jockey William Buick was rewarded when his final ride on the card, the Mick Appleby-trained Zealot, landed the mile handicap.
Buick's four rides on the card were all sent off favourite, but he had to wait until his last mount before he could celebrate a winner as Zealot pulled five-and-a-half-lengths clear of Rooful in second.
Brains stormer
The John Butler-trained Brains secured a fourth win from eight starts at Kempton with an all-the-way victory under Grace McEntee in the Class 5 mile handicap on the card.
