Midnight Shadow springs 25-1 surprise for Sue Smith

Sue Smith is renowned for her exploits in staying chases, races like the Grand National in which I Just Know fell at Becher's last week, after which jockey Danny Cook was spoken to by the stewards for trying to direct runners around the omitted fence.
Smith is not associated with hurdlers running over two miles yet that is the trip at which Midnight Shadow sprang a 25-1 surprise under Cook in the QTS Scottish Champion Hurdle.
