Dougie Costello off the cold list as well-bred Bedouin Prince makes it two wins from three starts for rampant Godolphin team

Bedouin Prince has a superb pedigree and the Charlie Appleby-trained colt took a step closer to becoming a star in his own right when an easy winner of the mile novice event.
The 9-2 winner is out of the 1,000 Guineas runner-up and Group 2 winner Lucida and a half-brother to winners Striking Star and Moonglade. He took his record to two wins from three starts when streaking clear of Wicked under Dougie Costello.
The rider, once a jump jockey but now something of a regular for the dual Guineas-winning outfit, said: "That was a good performance under a penalty and he felt as if he would get another quarter mile."
It was Costello's first winner since February and he added: "The boys were revving me up this morning about being on the cold list, so that was nice."
The contest has been won by the likes of dual Group 3 winner Mighty Ulysses and Group 2 winner Quddwah in recent years.
Paetel payday
Teenager Mason Paetel enjoyed a day to remember by partnering a double aboard Cooperation in the opening 7f apprentice handicap and Lavender Hill Mob in the later 1m4f handicap.
Paetel, 16, matched Jamie Spencer by winning two races on the card. The latter scored on French Haven in the mile fillies' handicap and impressive 6f novice winner Logi Bear. The Richard Hannon-trained colt looks a potential Royal Ascot horse, with the Coventry Stakes seemingly a good fit.
