Double for Simcock as old favourite and bright spark score
Two different types of horses with two different futures but David Simcock could not have been more pleased with both Horsted Keynes and Auberge Du Lac after they completed a 20-1 double for the trainer.
Horsted Keynes was winning for the first time for Simcock, and for the first time since April 2014, while Auberge Du Lac appears to have a bright future following his win in the 1m three-year-old handicap.
Simcock said: “It’s nice to win with Horsted Keynes. It was the perfect race for him as he likes Yarmouth and he was unlucky not to win a similar race there in May. He does a lot of good work at home with the other horses, so I’m pleased to see him get a victory.
