Racing Post photographer Ed Whitaker in the running for two more honours

Multi-award winner Racing Post photographer Ed Whitaker has been shortlisted in two categories for the 2019 SJA British Sports Journalism photography awards.
Whitaker was sports photographer of the year in 2008 and 2011 and is up for further honours in the specialist portfolio category and also in the 'Away from the Action' section.

His wide-ranging specialist portfolio includes an action shot of Tiger Roll in the Grand national while his 'Away from the Action' photo is a spectacular shot of Nicky Henderson's string bathed in sunshine.

Whitaker was voted racing photographer of the year for the ninth time at the Horserace Writers and Photographers Association's Derby Awards last month.
The winners of the awards, which are sponsored by the National Lottery and Canon, will be revealed on Monday, February 24 at an event held at the Westminster Bridge Park Plaza Hotel in London, hosted by Jim Rosenthal.
