The Betfair Ascot Chase looked a walk in the park for Britain's highest-rated chaser and 4-11 favourite Cyrname but he failed to reproduce the form of his last start at Ascot, falling at the final fence when beaten.
Traffic Fluide, returning off a 469-day break, looked the likeliest winner in the home straight and also succumbed to an unfortunate tumble at the last, leaving Riders Onthe Storm to collect the Grade 1.
