Britain's jockeys have been failed by racecourses and the BHA - it is time for both to right that wrong

There will hopefully never again be cause for us to show a set of urinals on the front page of the Racing Post. 

The image of Champion Hurdle-winning rider Lorcan Williams working out on a static bike in the toilet of Bangor's male changing room was shocking. Regrettably, there was a need for the sport to be shocked. 

British racing’s human athletes continue to encounter wholly unacceptable facilities on racecourses. By now, the communal indignity should have come to an end. When the weighing room modernisation programme was started in November 2021, it was agreed by all parties that work should be completed by October 2024. Instead, what ought to have been a three-year project is due to finish six years late. That cannot be right.
