Nina Carberry returns to race riding at Ballinrobe on Thursday for the first time since giving birth to her, and husband Ted Walsh jnr's, daughter Rosie four months ago.

The 33-year-old former Irish champion amateur partners Cask Mate for Noel Meade in the Connacht Tribune Bumper (5.55) the final race on the card.

Carberry said on Wednesday: "I'm really looking forward to getting back into action. I'm living in Tipperary and ride out at Ballydoyle. I don't know much about Cask Mate. Noel tells me he's a nice horse with a good pedigree but might not want the ground too heavy."

Meade said: "I'm delighted Nina is back. She's been up to ride out for us a few times in recent weeks."

Carberry's Cheltenham Festival victories include four runnings of the Glenfarclas Cross-Country Chase while her biggest win in Ireland came in 2011 when she landed the Irish Grand National on Organisedconfusion, trained by her uncle Arthur Moore.
