Mullins: Footpad will miss ten days at the most

Footpad is fine and will only miss ten days of work at the most. That was the upbeat bulletin from Willie Mullins on Sunday following the shock defeat of last season's runaway Racing Post Arkle winner at Naas 24 hours earlier.

A catalogue of uncharacteristic errors in the Poplar Square Chase ended with Foodpad sprawling on landing at the last and leaving the way clear for Saint Calvados to run out an easy all-the-way winner.

Paddy Power reacted by pushing Footpad out to 14-1 from 8-1 for the King George but Mullins has not yet decided what trip his next appearance will be over.
