Champion conditional Danny McMenamin is excited about renewing his partnership with Tommy's Oscar at Haydock on Saturday, when the prolific hurdler will aim to book his place in the Unibet Champion Hurdle in March.

McMenamin has just returned to action after breaking his collarbone in early December, an injury which forced him to miss the last two of Tommy's Oscar's three handicap victories in a row.

The Ann Hamilton-trained seven-year-old has emerged as one of Britain's main contenders for the Cheltenham Festival day one highlight, an easy win under top weight at Musselburgh on New Year's Day resulting in his official mark rising to 156.
