Ireland's sectional timing 'utter mess' defended by technology provider

The company providing sectional timing to Irish racing has defended its performance after frustrations were voiced over omissions and inaccuracies in its coverage.

ITV Racing pundit Kevin Blake has branded Coursetrack's launch in Ireland as "an utter mess", highlighting a failure to provide sectional times for approximately 88 per cent of Curragh races since trials were launched there this summer.

Equine analytics expert Jason Hathorn described the lack of complete sectionals as "a lost opportunity for Irish racing".
