Flotus on return ticket to York
Simon and Ed Crisford were among a number of local trainers at the Arqana Sales but they received glowing reports of their star filly Flotus, who covered five furlongs on the Cambridge Road Polytrack in good fashion under former jockey Seamus O'Gorman.

A Group 3 winner at York last month, the three-year-old heads back to the Knavesmire for Friday’s Group 1 Nunthorpe Stakes, in which she will tackle the minimum trip for the second time in her career.

Early starts mean early finishes for most yards this weekend, which is just as well with an extreme heat warning in the region until Sunday.
