Willie Mullins achieved something incredible this weekend.

'When doesn't he?' might be a fair retort, but for Ireland and Britain's champion jumps trainer to win: 1) a Group 1; 2) in America; 3) over a middle distance; and 4) with a horse who has run seven times over hurdles is utterly extraordinary. It is less rabbit from hat, more woman sawn in half.

And the crazy thing is it might not even be the most remarkable achievement by an Irish trainer this weekend as his Flat racing equivalent, Ireland and Britain's Flat champion trainer Aidan O'Brien, became the most successful trainer in the history of the Breeders' Cup (he was later joined by Bob Baffert).
