'The business model is ten times better when you move to France - but you've still got to be successful'
Scott Burton hears about the experiences of British trainers who have made the plunge to relocate to France

News in November that Adam West had quit Epsom to relocate his training business to the western Paris suburb of Maisons-Laffitte came as something of a bolt from the blue, little more than a year on from his biggest career success with Live In The Dream in the Nunthorpe.
West blamed poor prize-money in the middle and lower tiers of the sport in Britain and confessed that he would probably have had to call it a day already but for his sprinting superstar.
While owners Steve and Jolene De’Lemos announced before Christmas that Live In The Dream would not be following him to France, West says he has no regrets.
