Charlie Appleby has a strong hand - and it's not just Coroebus and Native Trail

There may be a standout runner among the older milers in the opening exchanges of the season, a horse who even seems to be scaring off potential rivals, but the division could soon have a more open feel to it.
It's the William Haggas-trained Baaeed who's the clear form pick at the time of writing, and he's odds-on across the board for the Group 1 Al Shaqab Lockinge Stakes at Newbury next Saturday.
However, he might be going up in trip at Royal Ascot in June and come the height of the summer in the Group 1 Qatar Sussex Stakes at Goodwood it'll be time for the top three-year-olds to test themselves against their elders, so it's all to play for.
