Enable faces four-way battle for Horse of the Year title
King George and Arc winner Enable will fight it out with stablemate Cracksman, Ulysses and Ribchester for the 2017 Cartier Horse of the Year accolade.
The brilliant John Gosden-trained filly is one of four nominees for the main award with the Champion Stakes winner Cracksman, Eclipse and International winner Ulysses and leading miler Ribchester.
The winner will be announced on Tuesday, November 14 at the 27th annual Cartier Racing Awards at the Dorchester Hotel in London following the presentations to the winners of the seven other equine categories.
The recipient of the Cartier/The Daily Telegraph Award of Merit, bestowed in recognition of a significant contribution to European racing and/or breeding, will also be revealed.
Cartier's racing consultant Harry Herbert said: "The 2017 European Flat season has delivered exceptional performances month after month and the nominees for the 27th Cartier Racing Awards are some of the best racehorses in the world.
"The revealing of the eight equine Cartier Racing Awards is eagerly awaited on the evening of Tuesday, November 14, while the Cartier/The Daily Telegraph Award Of Merit is going to a very special person."
The award winners are determined by a combination of points earned by horses in Pattern races, the opinions of a panel of racing journalists and handicappers and votes from readers of Racing Post, Daily Telegraph plus ITV Racing viewers.
