'That ship might have sailed' - Charlie Fellowes on Derby-winning owner row

Charlie Fellowes missed out on his “number one pick” at the Tattersalls yearling sales last autumn when underbidder on one of the 17 lots purchased on behalf of owner Saleh Al Homaizi, who
it was revealed on Saturday has not paid for them.
The horses will be reoffered for sale privately or at auction, but the Newmarket trainer admitted on Sunday “that ship may well have sailed” should the horse he had tried to buy come under the hammer again.
Fellowes and Doug King, who owns the likes of Group 3 winner Vadream, had tried to buy a Kingman colt out of Wall Of Sound, a brother to 2019 Group 3 Prestige Stakes winner Boomer, and went up to 725,000gns.
