Ffos Las to stage additional jumps fixtures next week after Wincanton and Taunton's cancellations

Ffos Las has stepped in to stage jumps fixtures next week as the recent dry weather continues to impact racing in Britain.
Wincanton and Taunton were due to host meetings on Wednesday and Thursday but the lack of rain has meant they have already been cancelled. However, two evening cards have been added at the Welsh track on those days.
Both meetings are made up of six races but may divide into eight contests. Entries will close on Saturday before the normal 48-hour declarations.
Memorial to honour the life of the late BHA chair Joe Saumarez Smith to be held in May
The BHA is arranging a memorial to honour the life of its former chair Joe Saumarez Smith, who died in February at the age of 53.
It will be held in central London on Monday May 19 and be followed by a reception, with the BHA asking all guests to register in advance to secure a place due to limited capacity.
The BHA has asked those wishing to attend to register through this link by Friday April 18. Further details about the venue and timings will be shared in due course with those registered. Any queries should be sent to jssmemorial@britishhorseracing.com.
