The Racing Post has been revealed as part of an exciting new evening programme set to light up racing early next year as the sport attempts to attract a younger audience.

It has agreed a new partnership with Arena Racing Company (Arc) to become the official media partner of its Friday Night Live racing series in 2026.

Friday Night Live is a new under-the-lights racing concept, created in partnership with Invades, the burgeoning organisation set up by Dominic Matcham which has pioneered student trips to the course.

It combines live racing with entertainment and music across a series of evening fixtures broadcast on ITV Racing and Sky Sports Racing.

Megan Nicholls will front ITV coverage and each meeting will offer more than £200,000 in prize-money as well as DJ sets between races.

As official media partner, the Post will work with Arc to support the programme through content, coverage and promotion across its platforms. This will include editorial features, social media activity and video content designed to showcase the live raceday experience and atmosphere of Friday Night Live.

The partnership reflects a shared ambition to engage new and younger audiences, while presenting racing in a modern, accessible and entertaining format.

Racing Post editor Tom Kerr said: “Racing Post has always played an active role in supporting the sport and helping racing reach new audiences.

"Friday Night Live is an exciting initiative that brings a fresh energy to the racecourse experience, and we’re pleased to be working with Arc as official media partner to help tell that story through our content and coverage.”

Friday Night Live will take place between January and March across Arc’s all-weather racecourses: Wolverhampton, Newcastle and Southwell.

The Racing Post is part of Spotlight Sports Group, a global content and technology business focused on creating experiences that racing and sports betting fans love.

Friday Night Live Series dates:
January 9 Wolverhampton
February 6 Newcastle
February 20 Southwell
March 20 Wolverhampton
March 27 Newcastle
