The UK's betting shop operators today launch their second Gamble Aware Week as they bid to promote responsible gambling and highlight the efforts the industry is making in that sphere.

New mandatory time and spending alerts for gaming machine players are also being launched.

Throughout the week betting shop windows will feature posters highlighting the message, 'Never bet more than you can afford to lose', and asking punters to set and stick to a limit, take regular breaks and to contact staff members if they need advice.
