Tarnawa will make her eagerly awaited return to the track at either Cork or Leopardstown early next month as trainer Dermot Weld plots a route to the Qatar Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe with the superstar mare who won three Group 1s on the trot last autumn.

Despite the fact she has not been seen since mastering Magical with a storming late surge in the Breeders' Cup Turf at Keeneland last November, Tarnawa is reported to be in tip-top shape by Weld, who has pencilled in the Give Thanks Stakes at Cork or the Ballyroan Stakes at Leopardstown for her comeback mission.

Everything will be geared towards a crack at the Arc on October 3 for which she is a general 8-1 shot. The Aidan O'Brien-trained trio of Love, Snowfall and St Mark's Basilica are vying for favouritism for the Longchamp showpiece.
