Alex Hales eyeing tilt at Foxhunter with 2016 Albert Bartlett runner-up Fagan

The 2016 Albert Bartlett Novices' Hurdle runner-up Fagan is set for a hunter chase campaign, with new trainer Alex Hales gearing the grey's season towards a tilt at the Foxhunter in March.
The eight-year-old was pulled up when favourite for the Scottish Grand National on his final start for Gordon Elliott in April and joined the Edgcote trainer for £26,000 at the Goffs UK Spring sale the following month.
Fagan will be ridden by amateur jockey Ben Brackenbury, as will fellow new recruit Smooth Stepper, a £27,000 purchase from the same sale out of Sue Smith’s yard.
