'Not all trainers are gin and Jaguar' - Adam West reflects on Epsom award win

Adam West has won the annual Sir David Prosser award for the top Epsom trainer after a best-ever year over jumps.
This year's award, which ran from November 2021 to November 2022, included wins under both codes and is restricted to trainers in Epsom. Prosser, who died in 2020, was involved with the Jockey Club, which owns Epsom racecourse and the gallops on the Downs.
West, who is based at Loretta Lodge Stables, had ten winners on the Flat and a personal best tally of ten over jumps at a strike-rate of 25 per cent. The prolific Noahthirtytwored contributed five victories to that total.
