Monday Club lets down supporters

>>Monday Club snatched defeat from the jaws of victory in the 1m2f seller at Leicester. Sean Mooney’s mount travelled best and looked certain to win when in front, but he found little and, after trading at 1.02 in running on Betfair, he was denied on the nod by 2-1 favourite Muroor.
Muroor touched no shorter than 1.27 in the run, but did go to around 1.16 to keep the race in the subsequent stewards’ inquiry. The result remained unchanged, meaning the winner defied a high of 44 in running.
>>There was another upset in the 6f handicap when Evening Attire was called the winner in a close photo with Mr Orange.
