Easy ground raises question mark over Blue

Blue Point 3.25 York

SP forecast 7-4

Won his first two starts, the second by 11 lengths, and lost little in defeat when just held by pocket ricket Mehmas in a Group 2 at Goodwood last month. Sets an excellent standard on that effort and should be open to plenty of improvement, but has raced exclusively on fast ground and while a few here are in the same boat regarding the going, it will raise a big question mark if it is on the slow side.

Conclusion A lay if soft is in the going description.

Yangtze 7.20 Chelmsford

SP forecast 15-8
Ran well in a couple of warm handicaps early this season and finally off the mark at Sandown last time when cheekpieces went on. Still likely more to come off a 5lb higher mark and the yard is going great guns. However, is clearly quirky – hung his chance away when 6-5 at Newbury two starts ago and looked like doing similar at Sandown until a rival came alongside.

Conclusion Looks a bit risky at the price given his quirks and the change of surface.
