England Women vs West Indies Women prediction

Nat Sciver-Brunt was dismissed for a second-ball duck in her first innings as captain of England Women, in last month's T20 international against the West Indies in Canterbury.

However, she bounced back with 55 not out and 37 in the next two T20s and is a tempting bet to top-score for her side in the second ODI against the Windies in Leicester.

Openers Amy Jones (122) and Tammy Beaumont (107) dominated England's innings in Saturday's first ODI in Derby before spinner Linsey Smith took 5-36 on her long-awaited ODI debut.

Smith's haul wrapped up a 108-run win over the West Indies, who had lost their previous three one-dayers against England by margins of 142 runs, 142 runs and 151 runs in December 2022.

The tourists are 8-1 to upset their hosts at Grace Road, where Sciver-Brunt has a superb 50-over record.

Jones and Beaumont's 222-run opening stand in the first game meant the England skipper had to wait until the 37th over to come to the crease but she still managed a quickfire 52 off 36 balls.

Two of Sciver-Brunt's nine ODI centuries were scored in Leicester and she smashed 120 off just 74 deliveries against Sri Lanka on her last visit in September 2023.
