On the evening where stable star Romanised powered to success, trainer Ken Condon struck once again with Laws Of Indices, a 66-1 victor of the Group 2 Railway Stakes.

Sent off the outsider of the field, with the Ballydoyle-trained Merchants Quay favourite, the son of Power found plenty to defy the fast-finishing Lucky Vega in the final strides.

Condon said: "He's taken a big step forward from what he did at Navan. I would have been delighted to be placed, to be perfectly honest with you. He probably wants seven furlongs, but he needed to stay today on that sort of ground."

Laws Of Indices's success provided the trainer with a 216-1 double after Romanised scored in the Group 2 Minstrel Stakes earlier on the card.

The winner, who cost €8,000 from Goffs in October, struck at Navan last time after finishing down the field behind Lucky Vega on his debut.
