Watch: Loose horse narrowly avoids collision with racegoers after entering public enclosure at Stratford

A nasty incident at Stratford was avoided after a horse entered the public enclosures when running loose during a race at the track's meeting on Saturday.
Break Point, trained by Derek Shaw, was sent off a 100-1 outsider for the opening 2m½f novice hurdle, but he unseated Philip Armson after jinking at the first flight. He then ran loose with the field on the track, before taking a dramatic turn.
Break Point jumped through a chase wing and then jumped a double perimeter fence into the enclosure. After trotting around near racegoers, what appeared to be a member of the track's staff managed to usher him down the horse walk between the paddock and the pre-parade ring.
The racegoers and the horse appeared to be okay following the incident, which has been referred to the head office of the BHA.
The Stratford stewards report said: "An enquiry was held to consider the circumstances surrounding a loose running Break Point, trained by Derek Shaw, which had unseated Philip Armson, and had entered a public enclosure during the race.
"The clerk of the course was interviewed and shown recordings of the incident. After hearing the evidence, a report was forwarded to the Head Office of the British Horseracing Authority for further consideration."
The contest was won by the Toby Lawes-trained St Pancras, who had won the Scottish Triumph Hurdle last month before finishing runner-up in the Adonis Juvenile Hurdle.
