Olly Murphy was at Wembley cheering on his beloved Aston Villa to championship playoff victory against Derby and had further cause to celebrate when netting a double.

The duo, which formed part of a hat-trick for Richard Johnson, were important in their own right and Cesar Du Gouet got his head front for the first time over fences in the 2m½f handicap chase.

The three-runner contest was reduced to a match as proceedings had barely started to unfold when Chivers exited at the first, and the
8-13 chance kept his nerve to score easily.
