'There’s no stopping him at the minute' - Cerulean Bay completes hat-trick with feature win for David O'Meara

Cerulean Bay continued his progression since reverting to seven furlongs when completing a hat-trick in the feature £28,000 event.
The David O’Meara-trained three-year-old defied a 4lb rise for success at this track and trip last time to score by a neck from Cuban Tiger.
The son of New Bay was justifying favouritism for the third start in a row, having ended a seven-race winless run at Haydock last month on what was his first start over seven furlongs since finishing last of six in the Solario Stakes last year.
“All credit to him, he had it all to do from that draw,” winning rider Danny Tudhope told Racing TV. “We were drawn the widest and he’s off 96 now, he’s high enough but he’s got the right attitude.
“If something comes to him, he keeps going and he likes it here. There’s no stopping him at the minute, he’s having a great season.”
Tudhope and O’Meara sealed a double when The Crafty Mole was awarded the 1m6f handicap in the stewards’ room.
The Cieren Fallon-ridden first-past-the-post Cool Legend was deemed to have interfered with the fellow 9-4 joint-favourite, who registered his fifth win of the year after the placings were reversed.
Perfect record
Trainer Raphael Freire made it two from two at the North Yorkshire track when Amo Racing’s €100,000 newcomer Tuscan Hills obliged in the mile novice under Oisin Orr.
One to watch
