'She's certainly got the hang of it now' - bombproof Pomme Pomme racks up rapid hat-trick

Pomme Pomme's winning streak may be far from over after she excelled on her third handicap start to run up a hat-trick with ease under Rose Dawson.
The Jack Channon-trained three-year-old was unsuccessful in three starts in maiden and novice company but has shone in handicaps with a rapid sequence of wins this month, culminating in this length-and-a-half success over fellow co-favourite Justenzia in the 1m2f handicap.
"She didn't know what she was doing when she started but she's certainly got the hang of it now," said Channon. "We knew she had a great chance and she's seen the mile and a quarter out well again, plus I always thought she'd be better on this type of ground, so we're very happy.
"She's bombproof and we know the family well as Dad trained the dam [Apple Anni]. The owners have had a lot of fun with her and it's nice when it all comes together and you can win a few in a row. It's a hard thing to do most of the time, so we'll see what the handicapper does and then we'll go again."
Rogue success
Promising colt Rogue Millions got off the mark at the third attempt when seeing off some smart rivals under Luke Morris in the 1m2f maiden.
The Dubawi colt, who holds an entry in the Betfred Derby, finished third on his first two starts, but he showed an improved attitude here to get past market leaders Noble Horizon and Sea Of Kings to win by a length for James Owen and Luke Morris.
