A horse called If Karl's Berg Did was running at Fontwell and although Rossa Ryan was nearly 300 miles away at Beverley, the sentiment of the Danish beer company's famous advertising slogan would not have been lost on the jockey, who hit the right notes on Rhythm in division two of the 5f novice for fillies.

Ryan, who won the Golden Gates Handicap on Highland Chief at Royal Ascot, rode his 200th British winner at Newbury on Sunday, followed up with another at Catterick on Monday and has a new job as top football agent Kia Joorabchian's retained rider.

"I'm just going to stay riding this crest of a wave for as long as I can," he said.
