Jabaara landed back-to-back wins in the annual feature at the Edinburgh track, the Listed Queen Of Scots Fillies' Stakes.

The 5-6 chance was winning for the second time since her triumph in the 7f race a year ago, putting the contest to bed when Silvestre de Sousa sent her on at the two-furlong pole.

The form of the winner's previous second in a Group 3 at Lingfield had received a boost two hours earlier when third-placed Spiritual won the opener at Epsom.

Jabaara had previously had a crack at Grade 1 level at Keeneland where she finished sixth but will stay closer to home for the summer.

Trainer Roger Varian said: "Jabaara did it nicely and tracked a strong pace from a low draw. She was in front soon enough because of it and Silvestre gave her a lovely ride.

"She threw her race away at Goodwood last year in the Oak Tree Stakes and she could well end up back there, with a plan to take in another Listed race at Chelmsford on the way. She is a consistent filly and she's a joy to have in the yard."

Dream result

Alan Brown boosted his strike-rate in the last fortnight to 50 per cent when Fletchers Dream sprang a 50-1 surprise in the 7f handicap in a first-time visor.

Apprentice Shay Farmer linked up with the North Yorkshire trainer for a 22-1 win at Beverley last month but bettered that when landing his eighth win.
