Perfect Numbers for Insole and Newland as first juvenile runner of the year is successful again - and Ascot could be next

Jamie Insole made a winning start with his first two-year-old runner of 2025, and the joint-trainer is now eyeing up a trip to Royal Ascot with Angel Numbers after the daughter of Profitable made a successful debut in the 5f maiden under Hollie Doyle.
In winning, the 11-4 shot was replicating Insole and Richard Newland's Ruby's Profit – another Profitable filly – who was also a successful first juvenile runner for the operation 12 months ago.
“This is our first two-year-old runner and winner this year," Insole said. "We did the same last year for the same owner.
"We've got 32 two-year-olds coming out in the next three weeks. I'm delighted to get her on board and know where the others stand."
Angel Numbers was bought for 50,000gns a yearling and is entered in the £100,000 Tattersalls Somerville Auction Stakes at Newmarket in August. However, first of all a visit to Royal Ascot is firmly on the cards.
“You’ve got to be thinking of Ascot," said Insole. "I think we’ll go there and take our chance. She won on the bridle under hands and heels and we don’t know where her top is.
“She should come on plenty fitness wise and in terms of experience. She looks fast, has got a great brain on her and is very relaxed and chilled. She's an exciting prospect.”
Hat-trick for Wintle
Adrian Wintle won three races in a row as Dappled Light, Ravenglass and Ten Club all obliged to complete a 472-1 treble for the Gloucestershire trainer.
Finley Marsh steered Dappled Light to victory in the mile handicap and also helped Ten Club get the better of Bear Rock in a photo-finish to the 6f contest either side of Ravenglass landing the 7f handicap under Joe Leavy.
