Ominously named Closutton gets up late for debut victory to secure double for Willie Mullins

The ominously named Closutton gave favourite backers a scare in the 2m3f bumper but was galvanised by Patrick Mullins late on to reel in long-time leader Walks The Talk.
A sister to the Grade 1 winner Airlie Beach, the Shantou mare commanded plenty of attention given she is named after the area in which trainer Willie Mullins operates. She justified 6-4 favouritism in getting up by half a length.
She formed the second leg of a double for Mullins after Sean Cleary-Farrell guided 1-2 favourite Persian Daughter to an easy 13-length success in the 2m6f mares' maiden hurdle.
Williamson continues good run
Amateur rider Josh Williamson continued his fine season when steering the Ian Donoghue-trained Portalington to success in the 2m6f handicap hurdle for qualified riders.
In guiding the 7-2 shot to victory over Order Of The Dance, the jockey was notching his fifth winner this campaign from just 17 rides. The horse was landing the fourth race of his career having reeled off a treble in the space of five weeks last year, with two of those victories coming under Williamson.
He told Racing TV: "I wasn't really planning on making the running, but there was no speed and he went around with his ears pricked and travelled better than he's ever done. I seem to get on with him, which is great."
Kamikaz looks promising
Despite taking the scenic route turning for home, Kamikaz Du Plessis made it two wins this month for Gordon Elliott when landing the 2m6f novice hurdle under 7lb claimer Finn Brickley.
In justifying 8-13 favouritism, the five-year-old made it two from three over hurdles and defeated his main market rival Derryville by a length and three-quarters. The field was reduced to three when Western Ability whipped round at the start.
