Nick Alexander excited for chasing future with My Kiwi Girl after landing double at Ayr

Nick Alexander is excited to take My Kiwi Girl chasing next season after she got off the mark under rules at the fifth attempt in the 2m maiden hurdle.
The six-year-old outclassed the opposition to coast home at odds of 1-6. She had displayed her ability when finishing third in Listed company in December followed by back-to-back second places.
Alexander plans to give her one more run before saving her for a campaign over fences next season.
He said: "She's a nice horse and I felt we were unlucky to bump into one in her last two races. She'll jump a fence, stay further and is a lovely, big mare we're excited about.
"We'll give her one more run if we can find the right race. I suspect we'll just find another novice rather than overface her. It'll be chasing next season all being well."
Alexander's Kinneston yard had a second success when Ballyfort improved following wind surgery to land the 2m handicap hurdle under Bruce Lynn.
The trainer added: "I'm really happy with him. Last time his head came up and he didn't quite go through with it, but he did this time, so that's brilliant."
Shock result
There was a major shock in the 2m4½f mares' novice hurdle when 1-10 favourite That'll Do Moss was turned over by Hay Meadow at 15-2 for Lucinda Russell and Derek Fox.
