Jamie Snowden heads into the core jumps season in flying form after his winning run was extended to three by Doc McCoy in the 2m5f handicap hurdle.

The seven-year-old cantered clear under Isabelle Ryder to bring up an 11-1 double for Snowden, following the success of Jackstell in the 2m novice hurdle.

The Lambourn trainer — who expects to be busy across Chepstow's three-day Welsh Racing Festival next week — was keeping up his good form as his only runner on Saturday, Lady Tadita, was also on the scoresheet.

Snowden said: "Our summer team have been in great form and the winter horses are all gearing up so it's nice to keep the momentum rolling. I'm not sure what we'll have at Chepstow, it depends on the ground, but there's a few lined up for it.

"Jackstell was placed in a few novice hurdles without getting his head in front but, fresh from a break, I thought he did it nicely. I'm not sure what we'll do next."

Snowden added: "Doc McCoy has been an absolute legend for us, I think that's his 12th run of 2025. Isabelle is a very good rider and claiming 7lb helped. He seems in great order so we might keep going."

Two-runner affairs

Dan Skelton had a runner in each of the opening two match races and was rewarded when Beau Quali landed the 2m4f novice handicap chase.

The five-year-old survived a mistake three out to win on his first start over fences after his stablemate Got Grey had been beaten in the 2m4f handicap chase by Northern Bound.
