'He won't be out of place in the Gimcrack' - York next for smart juvenile

Wednesday: Redcar
York's Ebor meeting is the next destination for Lakota Blue after he saw off several promising youngsters in the 6f novice stakes.
The 7-2 chance held off Hoy by a neck to earn a crack at the Group 2 Gimcrack Stakes on August 19.
"His owners are keen to take him to York and that will be his next race," said trainer Nigel Tinkler. "This was a hot race for a Wednesday at Redcar – he was up against several good prospects, including Hoy and Chuzzlewit.
"He won't be out of place in the Gimcrack. He's already rated 91 and will probably go up a little more for this win."
Black type bid
Trainer James Tate is eyeing some black type for Next Chapter after the filly broke her maiden tag with a smooth success in the 7f novice stakes.
"She's a home-bred filly from a family that does better with age and the owner Saeed Manana was quite happy for me to adopt a patient approach with her," said Tate.
"She wasn't right in the spring which is why we've delayed her return until June. We've got plenty of options for her now and I will be hoping to find a suitable Listed race over seven furlongs or a mile."
Redcar recovery
There were mixed fortunes for Andrea Atzeni 24 hours after his near miss on Stradivarius in the Goodwood Cup.
The jockey missed out on Chuzzlewit and Emirates Express for his main retainer Sheikh Mohammed Obaid Al Maktoum but did not leave empty-handed, courtesy of Point Lynas's neck success in the mile handicap.
