'He just loves his job' - reliable Marshal Dan strikes again for in-form Main

A horse that runs his race every time is a dream to own and the ever-reliable Marshal Dan proved to be just that again when recording a sixth handicap success for the Coxwell Partnership and in-form trainer Heather Main.

Marshal Dan has finished out of the first four once in his last 13 starts and gained a second win of the season by three quarters of a length under Martin Dwyer in the 7f handicap.

The five-year-old was a third winner from Main’s last seven runners after Thursday afternoon’s racing, with the Kingston Lisle trainer also saddling two seconds in that period.
