Charlotte's Web wove a passage out of a wide draw to give Simon and Ed Crisford a remarkable third successive win in the feature Winter Oaks Fillies' Handicap.

The 5-2 favourite also gave Jack Mitchell back-to-back wins in the 1m2f contest by narrowly holding off old rival Elladonna and Power of Destiny in a thrilling finish.

The daughter of Night Of Thunder held on by a nose to complete a four-timer of her own, and she joined a winning roster featuring previous stable residents Al Agaila and Oh So Grand.

Simon Crisford said: "Jack gave Charlotte's Web a great ride from where she was drawn and she was relaxed in front. It's great that we've now won it three times and the plan now is for her to go to All Weather finals day at Newcastle."

The success was completed a good few days for Gainsborough team after winning a Group 2 contest in Meydan on Friday with Choisya.

Back with a bang

Callum Shepherd rode a treble for George Scott in Bahrain on Friday and hit the ground running on his return to Britain by scoring on his first ride back on Moel Arthur in the opening 2m handicap.

The race was slowly away but Shepherd got first run on his rivals off the bend to score tidily and put Sun Dancer Girl in the shade.

The 20-1 winner was a first success since August for trainer Brett Johnson and Shepherd told Sky Sports Racing: "The two-mile trip was the question mark, so the way the race panned out suited us. I don't think I've ever been as slow around here."

Hart double

Jason Hart travelled south for two rides and came away with a double which was kicked off when Lord Rapscallion registered his first win since 2023 in the 7f handicap.

The grey won from off the pace and landed a nice touch for Stuart Williams after being sent off as 3-1 favourite from 10-1 early doors. Hart went on to score from the front on Master Of My Fate in the following 5f handicap for John and Sean Quinn.

"He jumped really well and the more he's racing the more he's improving," Hart said. "I'd like to think when he gets back on turf he will do the same."
