Torrential rain put a dampener on the day for many but Addeybb relished the heavy ground to cap a big-race Haydock double for William Haggas in the Group 3 Rose of Lancaster Stakes.
A winner in similar conditions at Royal Ascot, he could not live with Elarqam at York last time but put up a dominant display to follow stablemate Miss O Connor's win in the Listed Dick Hern Stakes.
Both winners scored by two and a quarter lengths and were returned the 11-10 favourites.
