Adam Kirby times it to perfection as Watchable gets overdue all-weather win

Adam Kirby showed exactly why he is the leading jockey on the all-weather this season with a well-timed ride on admirable sprinter Watchable.

Kirby stole a march on his rivals turning in and had enough in reserve to hold off the fast-finishing Something Lucky in the feature 6f handicap.

The 5-1 success took the jockey's excellent strike-rate when riding for David O'Meara at Lingfield this season to 50 per cent while the nine-year-old, a four-time winner of turf, made it thirteenth-time lucky on the all-weather.
