Two-year-old talent is exactly what the Nunthorpe needs - but Lady Iman's price is a poor one

A Nunthorpe almost feels incomplete without a leading juvenile. After all, this is the only Group 1 in the British Pattern with no parameters regarding age or sex. Any absence of two-year-old talent is an opportunity lost for another year.
Thankfully we have two this season. And why wouldn’t Lady Iman and Spicy Marg have a go in a division devoid of talent since the days of Battaash and Blue Point, who retired four and six years ago respectively.
You need only see the results of the two flagship 5f sprints at Royal Ascot and Glorious Goodwood this summer for evidence of the decline. They were won by handicappers in American Affair and Jm Jungle, who met in one at this very track on May 15.
