This is it – the best race in the world is here and that’s not just my opinion. Last season the Juddmonte International filled the number-one spot at the World's Best Racehorse Rankings for the second time in five years and that is from the 100 highest-rated Group/Grade 1s on the planet.
Maybe that explains why this year’s contest is so well represented internationally. The six horses are trained in four different countries, including Japanese Derby hero Danon Decile.
However, the market thinks he has his work cut out to compete with the first two from the Eclipse at Sandown and that race has been a remarkably good guide over the last ten years.
