It's hard to know where to even start with Jonbon these days. Enigma is the word that springs to mind but it also feels harsh.
Here is a nine-year-old, the would-be star of the show on day two at Aintree, who has run 21 times and won a whopping 17 races. If a horse had that sort of record in selling company he'd be revered as a legend.
Jonbon has done it at the highest level. He arrives in Liverpool trading at odds-on to claim a second Melling Chase and in the process take his Grade 1 haul to ten.
