No Champions Day bid for Carla Ridge but stunning Curragh winner is set for a big campaign in 2026

There will be no Champions Day bid for Carla Ridge, sensational ten-length winner of a Listed event at the Curragh on Saturday, but she might not be done for the season yet and joint-trainers Eddie and Patrick Harty are hoping she can reach greater heights next year.
The New Bay filly had some strong form in the book going into the Listed Pastures Stakes but few could have predicted the impression she would create on her ninth start as Chris Hayes steered the 100-30 favourite to an effortless success.
There were suggestions she could be supplemented for the Sprint Stakes at Ascot on October 18 but Eddie Harty has poured cold water on that idea.
