Marine Nationale is bouncing ahead of his belated reappearance in the Paddy's Rewards Club Chase at Leopardstown with big-race rider Sean Flanagan hailing him a "machine" ahead of his showdown with Majborough.
The King George VI Chase at Kempton is the highlight of a jam-packed festive schedule for most punters, but the battle of the two top chasers on Saturday will not be too far behind it on excitement levels, with a big shake-up in the Champion Chase market almost certain to follow.
Marine Nationale is the defending champion after running away with the Queen Mother by 18 lengths in March and he backed up the performance by winning the Punchestown Champion Chase in fine style six weeks later.
