Galopin Des Champs and Fact To File declared for Grade 1 rematch in Savills Chase at Leopardstown on Saturday

The mouthwatering rematch between Galopin Des Champs and Fact To File is on after both Wille Mullins-trained stars were declared for the Savills Chase (2.35) at Leopardstown on Saturday.
Fact To File beat Galopin Des Champs on his first start outside of novice company in the John Durkan Memorial Chase last time and has form figures of 1211 at Leopardstown. However, Galopin Des Champs won this race by 23 lengths before landing his second Gold Cup at the Cheltenham Festival last season and Paul Townend will undoubtedly have faith that his mount can reverse form with his younger stablemate over this longer 3m½f trip.
Mullins also runs I Am Maximus with Jody McGarvey, who rode the Grand National winner on all four of his starts before his success at Aintree, back on board the JP McManus-owned eight-year-old.

McManus is also represented by the Gavin Cromwell-trained Inothewayurthinkin, with 2022 winner Conflated and Henry de Bromhead's Heart Wood the only other runners not hailing from the Mullins stable.
Grangeclare West and Minella Cocooner complete the Closutton contingent in the eight-runner line-up. Mullins relies solely on Asterion Forlonge in the other Grade 1 at Leopardstown, where the enigmatic grey's seven Savills Hurdle (2.00) rivals include last year's King George winner Hewick, 2022 Grand National hero Noble Yeats and Bob Olinger.
At Limerick, Impaire Et Passe bids to add a Grade 1 win over fences to his three top-level hurdles victories in the Guinness 00 Faugheen Novice Chase (1.40).
