The Moore the merrier. There have been 2,590 winners on home soil and four more will ensure a brand new entry into the top ten of Britain's most successful Flat jockeys of all time, overtaking Edward Hide.

The name is Moore, Ryan Moore, and he's got a licence to thrill at Royal Ascot this week. The longest-serving number one there has ever been at Ballydoyle not only bids to become leading rider at the royal meeting for a fourth year on the trot, but to also etch his name even deeper into into racing's history books. Four is the magic number, as Hide sits in tenth place on 2,593 winners, and it is hard to envisage him not reaching that massive milestone over the next few days.

Moore was crowned leading rider at Royal Ascot for an 11th time last year after six winners and he is 1-2 with Coral to make it a dozen this week. You wouldn't have to look too hard to find worse odds-on shots than that.
